Raycomm are an expanding, highly successful developer of custom software and electronic design solutions based at Portishead near Bristol in the Southwest of England.

Current Open Vacancies

We are looking to expand our team with adaptable, talented development engineers who are looking for a challenging software or electronic development role in a busy consultancy environment. We have the following open vacancies:

Vacancy ID WRAY001:

Software Developer.

To be considered for this role you will need to have a flair in at least one of the following areas:

  • Web, server and client software development. Able to program in C#, experience in any of these areas would be a bonus; SQL, ASP.NET, AJAX, Web Services
  • Desktop application software and/or driver development. Able to program in C#, C++ and/or C and experience of any of the following would be a bonus; .NET framework, desktop operating systems including Windows or Linux, USB driver development
  • Mobile and network device software development. Able to program in C# and/or C and experience of any of the following would be a bonus; .NET compact framework, mobile operating systems such as Windows Mobile, Windows CE or Embedded Linux

Vacancy ID WRAY002:

Embedded electronics and software developer.

  • Microprocessor hardware/electronics design with good C programming skills and a working knowledge of Assembler. Experience in any of the following areas would be a bonus; embedded software design, embedded operating systems, FPGA, DSP hardware design, signal processing and algorithm design

Vacancy ID WRAY003:

Graduate trainee positions.

  • In addition to the above vacancies, we have open positions for practically minded trainee graduates with a relevant degree to be trained in either of the roles described above. You will probably have a first or 2.1 level degree and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm by way of home completed projects in addition to course work.

An innovative nature, flexibility and an on-going willingness to learn new skills and technologies are vital to succeed in these positions.

Positions are only open to candidates who are eligible to live and work in the UK long term.

We will also always consider undergraduates on a relevant degree course looking for work experience, either during vacation time or on a one year sandwich placement (internship).

  • Natural engineering curiosity
  • Enjoyment of your chosen subject
  • Ability to communicate your ideas to fellow team members and clients alike in verbal and written form
